Venezuela creates its own unique time zone on Sunday, putting the clock back half-an-hour on a permanent basis.
President Hugo Chavez says that an earlier dawn means the performance of the country will improve, as more people will wake up in daylight.
"I don't care if they call me crazy, the new time will go ahead," he said.
This guy is a trip. It's all about oil these days.

Why not? I don't blame him at all. He should probably rename the country while he's at it. After himself.
A lot of places made up new time zones. I was surprised to learn there are more than 24 time zones, considering the "standard" is each time zone is one hour from the next one.
By the way, all of China is in one time zone.
