Black/White

The Obama candidacy of of course brings up the issue of Race. One would hope that a person would vote on the issues, rather than their prejudices.
But this has got me thinking about it again. Mr Obama is considered "Black". But why? He is as much "White" as he is "Black", isn't he? I mean, if his father was "Black" and his mother was "White", isn't he equally Black and White?
When will we realize that God created only one race, the Human Race.

That black DNA is pretty powerful stuff. His features are more black than white, therefore in this race obsessed nation he is "black".

I suppose. It has always been this way.

The oldest human and pre-human bones have been found in Africa. Therefore, we are ALL "African". The first modern humans were African and we are all descended from them. That is the reality of the situation.

Civilization as we know it started in the fertile crescent. In what is today the middle east. More specifically, Iraq. Which is a lot closer to Africa than England!

Anyhow, I am very turned off with McCain's campaign. He accuses Obama of not having a plan - but what are his plans? All I have heard so far is "drill here drill now" (not really much of a plan if you ask me) and "I will not raise taxes on middle class America", implying that Obama will even though he has said over and over he will not.

Other than that it has been very negative. The right has accused the man of being muslim (no proof), going to a madrassa (outright lie), and then there was Fox "News" showing a picture of Osama when they talked about Obama, or Obama's picture when talking about Osama. And other very childish things.
